She was wearing hotel livery, so as culturally neutral as hotel branding design could make her below the neck, but her hair and glasses said "nerdgirl" so my subconscious said "cute". Occasionally some stranger whip my head around by her resemblance to a cow orker I had a crush on 20 years ago. All this to say I have my visual cues, but they seem to be rooted in very different experiences from whichever ones make guys go for blondes with big boobs. And none of it addresses the point you were mostly making about conditioning yourself out of an attraction that no longer serves your purposes.
